Laurel
Laurus nobilis
It is a shrub or tree that can be up to 2 to 15 meters high. The leaves are dark green, have lanceolate shape and are strongly aromatic. It produces, during the spring, 4 or 5 specimens of umbels with white flowers. In summer-autumn it generates ovoid fruits, done in bunches, of purplish black color. These contain only one seed.
Masterpieces of the hall
The hall
The garden of the museum is not born by chance. It wants to give a suggestion. The walk that crosses recalls the path of a river and, on its "banks", there are some plants that existed already in Pleistocene. Almost all are still part of Mediterranean and temperate environments that characterize the Italian peninsula.
