CORBEZZOLO (Arbutus unedo)

Arbutus unedo

It is a shrub that can also become a 5-6 m tall tree.
The leaves have elongated shape.
The flowers, which come out in the autumn, are of light cream or pinkish color, gathered in small clusters.
Fruits, of good taste, are round berries, dark red, with granular surface.

The hall

Giardino del museo

The garden of the museum is not born by chance. It wants to give a suggestion. The walk that crosses recalls the path of a river and, on its "banks", there are some plants that existed already in Pleistocene. Almost all are still part of Mediterranean and temperate environments that characterize the Italian peninsula.
